The LaGuardia Airport is heading into a new era. As the hub for many summer New York destinations like the Hamptons, Montauk or even Manhattan, frequent flyers will be pleased by the upcoming renovations which vastly improve your travel experience. So if you’re going to have a layover in the LGA, make sure to check out these spots to make the most of your time in the airport during this exciting shift.

Welcome to Terminal B

All of the action, shops, and restaurants are in terminal B. While you’re on your way across the terminal to get ready for your next flight, stop by the InMotion store  conveniently located before security between concourse B and C to talk to the travel tech experts and even play with some of the products! With extra time in between flights, tell us about your technical problems and needs, and we’ll be happy to help you.

Relax in a Loud and Busy Area

With all of the redevelopment changes, there’s going to be heavier foot traffic, loud construction noises, and perhaps more stress. It’s important to take some time in one of the lounges, tune out the noise and crank up the bass with your Shure SE215LTD Sound Isolating Earphones. Or if you really want total sound isolation professionally designed for live-performing musicians, check out the MEE Audio M6 Pro Universal-Fit Noise-Isolating Musician’s In-Ear Monitors. Not sure which would work best for you? That’s why the InMotion experts are available to help you decide.

You Gotta Eat, Right?

You want to eat somewhere that’s quick and convenient, but also different. No more of the same Chik-Fil-A or Au Bon Pain. Luckily for you, The Sorrentine Panini Bar is a nice small place that you won’t find anywhere else. They offer specialty one-of-a-kind paninis that you’ll never have a chance to try elsewhere and a wide variety of drinks. Try the Lax panini, for a playful take on the traditional bagel and lox.

I bet you’re still excited about those headphones, right? If you ask the staff nicely, you could connect your MEE Audio Connect Universal Dual Headphone and Speaker Bluetooth Audio Transmitterto one of their TV’s so you can watch and listen wirelessly through your new headphones.

A Vision for the Future

Thankfully for all New Yorkers, Governor Cuomo is aware of the vital upgrades that LGA Airport needs to bring it into the 21st century. The main goal of the new renovations is to combine all three terminals into one structure for easier transportation to and from the concourses. The project itself will create thousands of jobs and help keep LaGuardia innovative and up-to date. Check out Governor Cuomo’s vision for the redesign here.

In the meantime, the experience may be more hectic and will probably require more running across the airport with all of the construction going on. Make sure you plan extra time between flights to accommodate for the extra steps and use the Nokia Go Smart Tracker to track all of your fitness activity from running to your next flight to taking a quick nap to kill some extra time.
