Are you ready to join the future of sound? Meet the Bose Frames, the first Bluetooth audio sunglasses from Bose. Bose Frames offer a unique package of style, function, and innovation. Hidden within the frames are miniaturized Bose electronics that play music only you can hear. They produce rich, immersive sound for you, while others hear practically nothing. It’s a revolutionary personal audio experience hidden inside two classic designs, each enriched with premium accents and materials. Not only that, but they act as a portal to Bose AR — a first-of-its-kind audio augmented reality platform.
InMotion, the leading electronics airport retail store, is excited to explore this new technology with you and help you find the perfect pair to take with you on your next trip.
So how do these audio sunglasses work exactly? We’re glad you asked.
Miniaturized Bose speakers are placed on the interior of the glasses next to the lenses. While they do not physically connect to your ear, they are positioned to point directly toward your ears and filter in music that only you can hear. You can stay connected to the world around you while discretely listening to music with a revolutionary open-ear audio design. Underneath the side of your glasses are buttons that allow you to power your glasses on, play music, answer calls, and make and take clear phone calls and access Siri or your Google Assistant with the seamlessly integrated microphone.
The Bose Frames block up to 99% of UVA/UVB rays with uniformly tinted lenses. Ultraviolet (UV) rays that are emitted from the sun can be extremely damaging to your eyes. Even on overcast days, you are at risk of getting sun damage. There are two types of UV rays that reach the Earth, the third, UVC rays, are blocked by the earth’s atmosphere. UVA and UVB rays can both be harmful to the eyes. UVB rays are the most dangerous, and because they don’t go through glass, wearing sunglasses are the best ways to protect your eyes from them. Because the Bose Frames block both rays, you can be rest assured that you are giving yourself the best guard against these harmful rays.
Bose Frames are carefully created to provide the utmost in comfort and style. Their metal hinges, gold-plated hinges, nylon rims, and durable lenses are built to last. Customers can select either the Alto fit or the Rondo fit. Alto offers a classic angular look and is available in both S/M and M/L, while Rondo is more distinct with rounded lenses and a one-size S/M fit.
The Bose Connect app provides simple setup, personalized setting, and access to future updates. The app is compatible with both Android and Apple products. Simply connect your Bose Frames to the app via Bluetooth and you are ready to go!
Bose AR is an audio-only version of augmented reality that allows you to stay connected to both the digital world and the physical world at the same time. Just this past year, the official Coachella mobile app added Bose AR to give festival-goers access to exclusive content, including notifications reminding them when their favorite artists were about to take the stage. Navigational apps, such as Naviguide AR by Navisens and Walc, provide helpful directional cues via the Bose AR function.
Enhanced gaming apps, such as Komrad AR and Head Games by Earplay are also available, thanks to the built-in motion sensors that pick up on your head orientation and body movement. In Komrad AR, you are tasked with taking down an evil computer hell-bent on taking over the world. Head Games allows you to participate in the immersive story involving the arrival of an extraterrestrial using your body and voice.
The future of technology has arrived in the form of the Bose Frames. With high-quality audio, a sleek design, and state-of-the-art features, you are sure to enjoy an audio experience like no other. To try them out for yourself, stop by InMotion before hopping on to your next flight.
