Spanish for “The Angels”, this oft-discussed city is home to Hollywood, plenty of great culture, and the Los Angeles Lakers. Whether you’re headed into the city for the NBA All-Stars game, a business trip, or just a nice weekend, InMotion has you covered. Turn your trip into a true vacation!
With 4,120 acres, Griffith Park is the largest urban park in the United States. The view from the observatory is stunning, and you can check out its exhibits and planetarium shows while you’re there! The park’s miles of hiking trails and gorgeous sites make it the perfect place to spend a day unwinding. And, as a plus, it also boasts the Hollywood sign and the Los Angeles Zoo & Botanical Gardens.
If you decide to take advantage of the park, try bringing along some JBL Reflect Aware Sport Earphones with Noise Cancellation, which are great for quiet runs because you can choose the amount of outside noise you hear. They’ll let you listen to music and focus on your walk!
Famous for the amazing works it hosts, such as Claude Monet’s Nympheas, and Rembrandt’s The Raising of Lazarus, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art is a must-see while in LA. As the largest museum in the West, its collection is huge and has something for everyone, whether you’re looking for a retrospective from Tim Burton or a taste of some excellent modern art. It’s also right next to the La Brea Tar Pits, making it easy to check out both within one day!
With shorter wait times than at Universal Studios and Disney--in fact, there’s no wait time at all--the Hollywood Walk of Fame is a great addition to your LA trip. It may be a stretch of pavement, but with character and celebrity impersonators and plenty of other street performances, the city of LA has turned this stretch of sidewalk into a great time. While there, you can find the stars of your favorite celebrities, and stop by the TCL Chinese Theater on your way. The theater opened in 1927 and shows all of the excesses of Hollywood’s Golden Age, and tours are acclaimed.
A quiet bar tucked away on top of a pizza place, visitors here say they get speakeasy vibes, and it’s no wonder why! Sunset & Vinyl is great to catch up with friends or to get some work done before heading out for your next adventure. Visitors recommend their specialty cocktails, especially when they have special menus.
Make sure you have your Tile Sport - Key Finder. Phone Finder. Anything Finder with you though, just in case. You wouldn’t want to get a little bit too relaxed and leave your phone behind!
The All-Star Game will be played on February 18th, and this is the sixth time the city of LA has hosted it! This is the first year with the new draft format, so it might just be one for the basketball history books. Whether you’re a longtime fan or just getting into the sport, a game like this one will have plenty of fun!
This is a great time to bring along your Insta360 Nano camera for iPhone, which will turn your IPhone into a 360° VR camera. It’s a perfect way to capture not only the game but the atmosphere for long after you leave the stadium.
LA isn’t a city you can experience all of in one weekend, but these are some great places to start exploring! Whether you’re looking for the Hollywood experience, some fun nightlife, or a great time at the game, InMotion has some suggestions for everyone! Make sure to stop by one of our locations on your way and we’ll get you ready for an amazing trip to the Angel City!
